Cutting Teeth One Step At A Time

Ella, my beautiful baby daughter hit two major milestones this weekend. She cut her first tooth and started crawling on the same day! Her mother and I have been working with her non-stop to help her learn to crawl. We were beginning to think she was going to skip this milestone and go straight to walking. For quite some time, she has been pulling up and standing on her own, and she seemed completely kosher with rolling to whatever toy she wanted at the time.

Previously, when it was technically time for her to roll-over, she decided to tackle something more difficult and sit up instead. She was successful at sitting up for awhile before she actually gave rolling over a serious attempt. We’ve come to realize that no matter what the books say she should be doing, she is going to do it her way and when she is darn good and ready.

It’s been truly amazing watching this little life form from our hopes and dreams into a living, breathing, beautiful baby girl. I have already learned so much from her, and know that I have so much more to learn.
